“Give thanks in all circumstances … ” 1 Thessalonians 5:18
Have you ever been given a meal you just didn’t want?
Something you hate to eat and rarely don’t?
I remember as a kid when my mom made meatloaf I hated it.
It just sounded weird though I ended up eating every bit.
We cannot be picky when it comes to what we eat,
We must thank God for it no matter if it isn’t our favorite meat.
Did you know many kids go without a meal?
They would love the food we hate. How does that make you feel?
I often think of chidren in other countries who go without something to eat,
But do you know there are kids even in your city who go to bed with not even a taste of meat?
We need to ask God to fulfill their needs,
And ask Him to use us to plant good seeds.
Seeds of hope, not seeds of greed.
Let’s ask God to teach us how to help those in need.
But always remember whether you like your food on your plate,
Remember others aren’t so lucky and consider your food great!
Fact: There are children going without food in every city.
Idea: Ask an adult you trust how you can help stop this problem and help others.
Question: What creative ways can you think of to help others in need?
