Does standing in front of your classmates to give a speech make you terrified? Are you worried about how you will play at the game this coming week? All of us have things that make us afraid. It’s hard not to let fear of failure get the best of you! I’m writing this post with the hope of encouraging you to take a look at what the Lord says in Joshua 1 when he is leading the Israelities towards the promiseland.
Joshua 1:6-9 Be strong and courageous, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land that I swore to their fathers to give them. Only be strong and very courageous, being careful to do according to all the law that Moses my servant commanded you … Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
These verses is are great to highlight in your Bible. Memorizing them would be a great tool for those times when you feel defeated! God’s Word is a place we can turn to in the morning and at night! Reading it twice a day surely doesn’t hurt!
What makes it hard for you to be courageous?
