It was a beautiful day and they couldn’t wait,
Squirmles and Squirrel wouldn’t be late!
The zoo was the plan, to go ALL day–
To look, to see, to watch the animals play.
To see God’s creation, the work of His hands,
Read the details of His wonderful plan.
Each animal created for a reason,
How God’s equips for each for each coming season.
From the snakes that shed its skin when old,
To the lion, so sleek and bold,
Blessing the birds with the gift of flight,
Giving owls’ excellent sight …
The bear with brute force and strength,
The elephant’s truck is perfect length,
Hiding the frogs in leafs of green,
Virtually making them unseen …
The turtle and its shell, the birds and their feathers,
The animals made for different weathers,
The giraffe and its neck, the rhino and its horn,
The instincts given to each when they’re born …
How could one think it happened by chance?
It only takes one simple glance.
To see God’s handy work in each animal’s features,
Each is individual, each is God’s creature.
Genesis 1:20-21, 24
“And God said, ‘Let the waters swarm with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the heavens.’ God created the great sea creatures and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarm, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind … And God said, ‘Let the earth bring forth living creatures according to their kinds-livestock and creeping things and beasts of the earth according to their kinds.’ ”
